
Landscape Assessment & Political Economy Analysis
– Maternal and Newborn Health (MNH) Project
We are seeking qualified and experienced Enumerators to support a Landscape Assessment and Political Economy Analysis (PEA) of the Maternal and Newborn Health (MNH) system in Gombe State.
The study involves mixed-methods data collection (quantitative and qualitative) across the 11 LGAs in the state and will generate evidence to guide system strengthening, infrastructure upgrades, workforce development, and referral optimization.
Duration
Maximum of 7 consecutive working days (field-based)
Scope of Work
Enumerators will support both quantitative and qualitative data collection activities, including:
- Conducting structured facility assessments
- Administering questionnaires and observational checklists
- Conducting Key Informant Interviews (KIIs)
- Conducting Focus Group Discussions (FGDs)
- Reviewing facility registers and verifying service data
- Ensuring accurate documentation and daily submission of completed tools
- Participating in daily debrief and quality review meeting
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in public health, Social Sciences, Nursing, Community Health, or related field
- Demonstrated experience in field data collection (quantitative and/or qualitative)
- Experience conducting health facility assessments preferred
- Familiarity with MNCH (Maternal, Newborn and Child Health) concepts
- Experience using digital data collection tools
- Strong knowledge of the local context in Gombe State
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and Hausa (knowledge of local dialects is an advantage)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage respectfully with health workers and community members
